Andy Burnham's recent proposal for deeper Scottish devolution has been criticized as a blunder. The offer comes amid ongoing discussions about Scottish independence and devolution. Burnham has invited Nicola Sturgeon to work together on this issue. However, critics argue that the timing of the proposal is ill-timed given the ongoing debates. Some commentators have suggested that Burnham's move could undermine the chances of a peaceful resolution to the current political dispute in Scotland. Others argue that the proposal could additionally exacerbate relations between the UK government and the Scottish authorities. The debated proposal has also raised questions about Burnham's strategic intentions and whether he is seeking to profit from the ongoing debates.
